The Pre-University students of BIL present projects on "Reuse, Reduce, and Recycle"
During Fall 2023, Pre-University students designed and presented various projects aimed at promoting sustainability by adopting the "Reuse, Reduce, and Recycle" principle as a part of their 'Enhancement' activity. These projects aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals 12 and 13, which emphasize responsible consumption, production, and climate action. The primary objectives of the student activities were to create awareness about the harmful effects of single-use plastics and to advocate for environmentally friendly alternatives. While showcasing the projects, students encouraged sustainable practices by illustrating the indelible link between excessive plastic use or other waste materials and greenhouse gas emissions. They promoted eco-friendly options and urged citizens to participate in local clean-up initiatives, successfully addressing SDGs 12 and 13. The projects not only increased awareness but also instilled a sense of responsibility among students towards a sustainable future.
