BRAC University recently conducted an accessibility audit at its permanent campus to ensure universal accessibility for 'students with disabilities'. Representatives from various concerned departments, alongside people with disabilities and several external organizations participated to scrutinize the campus's resources and facilities.
Rahim, a Computer Science and Engineering student, praised the campus, saying, "It's a very friendly and accessible space for people facing mobility challenges."
On this ‘International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2023,’ a World Health Organization article highlighted that over 1.3 billion people globally, or 16% of the population, grapple with significant disabilities, impacting their daily lives and access to facilities.
