“Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much” - Helen Keller. Based on this essence, the Counseling Unit conducted the follow up session of the second phase of the workshop on “Group Dynamics” which was held on November 14, 2016 from 9.15 am to 10.45 pm at residential Campus. The main objectives of the workshop were to take the follow up information from the dorm supervisor and the campus management staff of the Residential Campus as well as identifying their stress level and sharing management technique.
The workshop was opened with a discussion where the participants sat down in a circle. Then they were asked to share what components of the previous session where the most learning techniques for them and if there is some new thinking about the workshop. In the second activity by which facilitator wanted to know about the stress level of the participants through barometer technique. Finally, all the participants joined in a meditation on “Loving Kindness” where the person conveyed a feeling of love for themselves, for others, for the person whom he cannot forgive and for all the living creatures surrounding him. Participants expressed that the meditation was relaxing for them and helped them to make a bridge between their inner and outer world.
Ms. Safina Binte Enayet, Coordinator and Psychosocial Counselor and Lecturer and Ms. Kazi Rumana Haque, Psychosocial Counselor and Lecturer of Counseling Unit take part in the facilitation of the workshop. As an observer, Ms. Anne Anthonia Baroi, Psychosocial Counselor and Lecturer was present in the workshop. The workshop ended by giving thanks to each other.
