Two students, Nafisa Tabassum and Joynob Jeba presented their UG theses on 17 August, 2016 in Room UB 21511 of the MNS Department. The titles of the theses were: “Isolation and identification of halotolerant bacteria from Patenga area, beach soil and land soil” and “Protein biomarkers for lung cancer: A bioinformatic approach”, respectively. The two studies were conducted at the biotechnology labs of the MNS Dept. under the supervision of Ms. Sadia Sayed and Ms. Romana Siddique.
Nafisa Tabassum of BS in biotechnology also gave a presentation of her internship at ICDDR’B and ideSHi.
The Viva-Voce Examination for the presentation was chaired by Professor A. A. Z. Ahmad and attended by Ms. Jebunnesa Chowdhury, and Ms. Romana Siddique. The Examination Committee appreciated the quality research of the students.
