Urban slum development is currently a critical issue to talk about to oversee and encourage the expanded populace that are moving and going to move to these urban slums activated by environmental change related wonders. C3ER-BRAC University and BRAC jointly organized the workshop on 17 August 2016 at BRAC BLC in Gulshan-1, Dhaka. The workshop started with keynote presentation by Mrityunjoy Das from BRAC DMCC program. His presentation concentrated on defenselessness forced by environmental change in different parts of the nation and how it is connected to relocation and uprooting. The keynote discourse was trailed by a presentation on the slum profiles on Bangladesh by Ahmad Fazlullahil Baqi of BRAC Urban Development Program. This presentation was a diagram of the slum demography and conditions around the nation. His presentations drew a connection between expanded rate of migration due to climate change related events and urban slums as migration destination. After the presentations participants were divided into three groups to discuss on different 3 topics: i) Social and Scientific research and and policy advocacy, ii) Climate Adaptive Technology in living environment, education and WaSH sector and iii) Climate Adaptive Technology in Livelihood. After the discussion the groups presented their findings.
