I.C.U is one of the most awaited event of every semester organized by BRACU MONON. The I.C.U was what the students needed ahead of their finals to relax and forget for a while about their exams, assignments and presentations. As soon as the gate opened, it was just a matter of a few minutes for I.C.U to become a full-house show.
The show started with Mr. Ishmam Salim, playing the tune of our national anthem with his guitar. Everyone paid their respects by standing. After the opening speech by the hosts a short video presentation was displayed in order to introduce everyone to BRACU MONON. The video consisted of the tournaments MONON participated in, including the championship won in BFL 2014 and the Table Tennis Tournament earlier this year. It had glimpses of the fresher’s recruitments, the club’s previous events, the annual tour, blood donation and cloth distribution campaign. The president of the club along with his panel and executive body members got on the stage and shared a few words with the audience and they announced their retirement from the club following the semester. It was quite emotional for those who had the pleasure of working with them.
After the musical performance it was time for the first guest comedian, Mr. Max Mystel who has been a regular guest for the last few years. He was the most experienced performer in the show having performed in different countries till date. Mr. Max Mystel seemed to engage well with the crowd by allowing them to participate in his comedy plus magic fusion performance and left everyone stunned with his magic. After a few more performances it was beat boxing time! Beat boxer Shohan was back with his amazing beat boxing which was followed by the beat boxing of Mr. Kabbo and Mr. Sean Sizzy, a and few amazing dances down the road and then it was time for Mr. Ashik Ahmad, a big time veteran in the comedy field. No I.C.U. seems to be complete without the presence of this individual. This time Mr. Ashik tried something innovative – a fusion of comedy and music by Mr. Ashik and the vice president, Mr. Ishmam who formed a band of their own named “Thirteen 12.” The humor within the songs was hilarious and the show ended on a very high note due to the performance of this amazing duo.
