BRACU Express, BRAC University’s official campus newspaper inaugural publication, took place on 27th September 2016. Run by volunteer students, the purpose of this publication is to foster strong collaboration between the faculty, administration and the student of BRAC University. The newspaper attempts to bridge the gaps that are present between the stakeholders of the university, and offers itself as a platform of expression for all the stakeholders.
In 2014, the newspaper was only an idea, pitched by a group of sophomore students to Farrah Jabeen, Senior Lecturer at BRAC Institutes of Languages. Since then, the idea has taken many forms in name as well as structure. Two years of hard work and a name change later, the BRACU Express finally saw its day of publication in September, 2016.
The group that founded the newspaper currently spearheads the running of it, with a tremendous amount of support from students and faculty. The newspaper could not have been published without the endless support and spirit from Mr. Shafaat Bari Ivan, Director of OCSAR. The active and extremely talented advisory panel consists of Farhaan Uddin Ahmed (Lecturer, School of Law), Shehzad M. Arifeen (Lecturer, Economics and Social Sciences), and Anika Tasnim (Officer, OCSAR).
