Nabiha Tasneem Khan joined as a Lecturer in the Biotechnology Program of the Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, BRAC University in January 2024. Before that, she was a Course Contract Faculty at BRAC University for one semester. She also worked as a Research Assistant at the Department of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, University of Dhaka. She did her graduation (BS) and post-graduation (MS) from the Department of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, University of Dhaka. She received the Dean's Award 2020 from the Faculty of Biological Sciences in recognition of her excellent academic performance. She also received the Government Scholarship 2020 for her undergraduate results. She completed her school and college from Viqarunnisa Noon School and College, Dhaka.
Her MS thesis work was a combination of molecular biology, immunology, and bioinformatics. The title of her thesis is ‘Screening and Identification of NAT2 Gene Variants in Bangladeshi Population by Allele Specific Polymerase Chain Reaction Assay’. During her thesis work and graduate studies, she acquired expertise in DNA Extraction and Quantification, Polymerase Chain Reaction, Gel Electrophoresis, Western Blotting, and Bioinformatics analysis: Protein structure analysis, Molecular docking, and Molecular dynamic simulation.
