Mahia Mustary Nushin is an Architect and Lecturer in the Department of Architecture, BRAC University. She completed her Bachelor of Architecture from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) in 2023. Previously, she taught as a Lecturer in Daffodil International University. Prior to that, she worked with several Architecture firms and organizations including Architects Atelier Ryo Abe, Jhons Hopkins Center for Communication Program, Bengal Institute of Architecture, Landscape settlements etc.
Mahia’s work has earned a number of recognitions in National and International design competitions namely, ‘KSRM award for future architects’, ‘Kaira Looro Competition: Children House’, Designing for a water nomad community in Bangladesh, Adaptive Reuse Placemaking Competition, 2023 etc. Her research interests lie in architectural heritage conservation, digital documentation of heritage, adaptive reuse, architectural history & theory, community resilience, and nature-based solutions.
